Summer Camp
- This camp's goal is to teach the campers about the
newest techniques in the world of taxidermy, as well as
some of the history of taxidermy. The Camper will learn
about all aspect of taxidermy including life size mammals
and reptiles such as alligators and snakes. During the two
week camp, each camper will taxidermy two of their own
game heads. The school part of this camp will be during
the week. During the weekdays campers will attend
taxidermy school where they will work hands on, on their
own game heads that are theirs to keep. They will also
learn the business aspect of a taxidermy shop. The
campers will also be expected to keep a clean shop and
work area. Most of the camp will be held in the classroom.
The rest of the camp will be filled with other activities
which will be held on the weekends and evening. Sundays
are open to the campers to attend any religious service
that they wish. The other activities may include tarpon
fishing in the tarpon capital of the world Charlotte Harbor,
flats fishing in a flats boat, shark fishing the bays and
coast, river rides and fishing in john boats, air boat rides,
beach trips to Venice Beach (shark's tooth capital of the
world) and Siesta Key Beach (whitest sand in the world)
for shark tooth hunting, surfing skimming, and sun, as well
as some possible off roading and trapping of feral hogs.
Our objective is to teach these campers about the exciting
world of taxidermy as well as to show them every thing
that west central Florida has to offer.
Two Week Camp .....................................$ 5,200.00
A 50 % deposit is required to hold the camper's spot in camp and full payment is due at
the start of camp. Camper way be asked to get picked up for behavior problems at any
time.
The camp includes:
All meals while at the camp.(camper's will
have the opportunity to try different
meals such as alligator and other wild
game)
Housing for campers while at the camp.
Any Laundry service.
All Supplies used in the taxidermy shop.
A taxidermy starter kit with some of the
basic tools used.
Two game head mounts.
